COVID-19 UPDATE

Hello everyone!

We hope you are staying safe and healthy during these uncertain times. We wanted to let you know about some updates we have in regards to COVID-19.

We ARE still open and accepting new clients. Continue reading for the adjustments we have made and give us a call at (757) 877-9140 if you are interested in making an appointment.

Precautions
Our front office staff have begun working from home to limit the number of people in the office at any given time. This means they are answering phones and scheduling from their home offices. Bills will be sent out if a copay needs to be collected.

We have limited the seating available in the lobby area and have asked for there to be no more than 3 people in the lobby at any given time. There is additional seating available in the hallway — we have asked all clinicians to be diligent in looking for their clients. Some clients are even choosing to wait for their sessions in their cars, that’s fine too! We ask that if you are waiting for a client to come out that you choose this option. Additionally, we have increased our cleaning efforts to ensure a sanitary environment for everyone.

We are offering both in person and telehealth options for appointments. If you are unsure about what setting your appointment will be in, please call us to verify. Some therapists have even done walking sessions, or sessions from their cars, in discrete areas to promote confidentiality. We’re willing to be flexible so please feel free to communicate your preferences with your clinician.

Make sure you know your clinicians cancellation policy to avoid missed appointment fees.

What is Telehealth?
Telehealth is using a HIPPA compliant technology platform to hold scheduled sessions. This may include phone calls, FaceTime, or a video chat such as the Simple Practice Telehealth platform. In order to hold a telehealth session, you just need to notify your clinician that you would prefer that setting and make sure they have the best phone number and/or email where you can be reached. Don’t worry, we will walk you through getting everything set up.

First Session Via TeleHealth
If you are doing your first session with us via telehealth, we ask that you please download and fill out our forms and email them to your provider at the email address they provide you. They will talk you through getting the telehealth platform set up if necessary and then your session will continue as normal. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you so much everyone, stay healthy!
